Since the record of the first case of Covid-19 pandemic, several changes have been witnessed around the globe. The nations of the world have tried different methods of stopping the spread of the deadly virus. Worldwide, governments closed all learning institutions to curtail the spread of the disease. This measure was not without its challenges. As the fight against Coronavirus proceeds, there is an upcoming taught and plans to reopen schools. This idea is attributed to the many impacts occasioned by the children staying at home during this season of the Covid-19 pandemic. The idea of opening schools is the better one. This does not imply that the measures against the spread of Coronavirus should be relaxed. More stringent measures and guidelines should be outlined for this effect (Christakis, 2020). There as some reasons to support my argument. First, the closure of schools is a threat to the child's educational development and health. Worldwide, learning has been brought to a standstill as children stay at home with their parents. This situation is not promised to end soon since no one knows when the virus shall be wholly eradicated or adequately managed. Furthermore, there are many reported cases of children abuse while under the care of their parents (Douglas et al., 2020). Children have been overworked or sexually abused hence giving a clear indication that there are not safer at home; hence their health is highly compromised.

Secondly, children staying at home as continuously strained their parents or guardians, especially the low-income earners (Storm, 2020). Parents have been forced on a tight corner looking for the basic needs for their children at home. This is an unexpectedly high budget which had not been planned occasioned by the unprecedented Coronavirus disease. Interestingly, most of the humble families are larger families hence challenging to meet the essential needs. As such, there is a projection of children's' health deterioration due to the lack of basic needs, such as balanced diet food. Therefore, school reopening shall help to ease the situation.

Third, the disease has been reported to be less severe among the children of less than 20 years (Munro & Faust, 2020). Several kinds of research and trends of the Covid-19 cases have revealed most of the victims are older people from the community. As such, the opening of schools is still safe. Besides, most of the children, while at home, have been roaming around streets and estates hence at a higher risk of contradicting the virus. Therefore, resuming learning will help to decongest streets and estates of roaming children.

Lastly, most of the learning institution workers, especially private school staffs, have lost their jobs due to the Covid-19 pandemic (Bailey & Schurz, 2020). School owners dismissed most of their employees, or their salaries have been stopped during this time when schools are closed hence living them struggling to survive through this period. Hence, opening schools would have a positive impact on teachers.

In conclusion, indeed, Covid-19 pandemic has brought occasioned many negative impacts in the livelihoods of people in the world over. Many changes occurred since the record of the first case. The idea of reopening schools is a wise wide idea that should be embraced by all as it helps to protect against many negative impacts of the virus.
